As a midwife, I advise (expectant) parents on the topic of first-time equipment every day. The most important thing: less is more. Buy good, durable items rather than cheap ones that break quickly. It's worth paying attention to the quality of the changing table in particular: after all, you spend several hours here every day! Pay attention to the height so that you as parents can stand comfortably and upright and the storage space - having everything in one place is practical. If you're not changing in the bathroom: a thermos flask with hot water and a small bowl save you a trip to the bathroom. Musthave - even in summer - a heat lamp: after all, newborns are used to 37 degrees. This turns the changing table into a safe space - and you can relax and care for your baby.
